Trans-tibial prosthetics – special course

The manufacturing of a trial TT-prosthesis: In this course we convey detailed knowledge and all important processing techniques for the most frequent prosthetic fitting of the lower extremity.

  anamnesis and taking impressions on the patient
  modelling techniques for TT-moulds
  bubble forming a PET-Trial socket
  different socket techniques
  static and dynamic alignment
  gait analysis and eradicating common alignment mistakes

Participants: max 5 
Patient: Your selected patient needs to be able to stand and walk – and fit enough to endure at least 2 casts takings on one day. The responsibility for your patient lies with your organisation: this is also the case for data privacy protection and declaration of consent regarding the patient.
Weighting: 25% Theoretical part / 75% Practical part
Course objective: Independent prosthetic care for TT amputees

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of work processes in the prosthetic field.
