Trans-tibial prosthetics – special course

The manufacturing of a trial TT-prosthesis: In this course we convey detailed knowledge and all important processing techniques for the most frequent prosthetic fitting of the lower extremity.

• anamnesis and taking impressions on the patient
• modelling techniques for TT-moulds
• bubble forming a PET-Trial socket
• different socket techniques
• static and dynamic alignment
• gait analysis and eradicating common alignment mistakes

Participants: max 5
Patient: Your selected patient needs to be able to stand and walk – and fit enough to endure at least 2 casts takings on one day. The responsibility for your patient lies with your organisation: this is also the case for data privacy protection and declaration of consent regarding the patient.
Weighting: 25% Theoretical part / 75% Practical part
Course objective: Independent prosthetic care for TT amputees

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of work processes in the prosthetic field
