Trans-femoral prosthetics – special course

TF-prosthetics – an integral part of orthopaedic technology: in this course you learn the theoretical fundamentals and practical skills to manufacture a modular TF-prosthesis.

  Taking impression after latest insights
  Modelling of an anatomical socket
  Manufacturing of a test socket
  Static and dynamic fitting with error analysis
  Production of a second socket to deepen the acquired knowledge

Participants: max 5 
Patient: Your selected patient needs to be able to stand and walk – and fit enough to endure at least 2 casts takings on one day. The responsibility for your patient lies with your organisation: this is also the case for data privacy protection and declaration of consent regarding the patient.
Weighting: 10% Theoretical part / 90% Practical part
Course objective: Independent prosthetic care for TF amputees

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of work processes in the prosthetic field.
