Processing prepreg – basic course
For newbies, as well as veterans who are looking for practical tricks:
Learn in this hands-on training the processing of prepreg for a dynamic ankle foot orthosis. Concept, design and a comfortable haptic play an important role.
• materials science: different prepreg materials and their use
• criteria for the construction dynamic prepreg orthoses
• design options: black, colourful or motif print
• manufacturing of a DAFO with dorsal spring
• discussing the devices: what was good, where is room for improvement?
All manufactured devices may be taken home after the seminar.
Participants: max 8
Target audience: Technicians, orthopaedic engineers, CPO
Weighting: 20% Theoretical part / 80% Practical part
Course objective: Independent fabrication of dynamic orthoses made from prepreg.
